Smart and Versatile

Yardroid resembles a mini tank. Of course it autonomously mows lawns. The front section carries the turret with main water gun, camera and LED gun light mounted in a fully stabilized gimbal. The gimbal, together with traversing turret allows Yardroid to spray water in nearly every direction.

Weed and pest killer nozzles are fixed in the turret, pointing down about 45 degrees.

Also in the turret are two solid particle dispensers for seed and fertilizer.

Yardroid moves on tracks. It is capable of on the spot turning and climbing over vertical obstacles up to 6 inches high and up 45 degree slopes.

Robotic Lawn Mowing

Yardroid is guided by computer vision and artificial intelligence. There is no need to set up perimeter wires,

Yardroid does not move in random paths, aimlessly criss crossing the lawn. Instead it plans its route. Not only does that keep the robotic mowing time at a minimum, it also allows Yardroid to create visible/decorative lines and pattern in the lawn.

The grass cutting height can be changed, not via a manual dial on the robot, but automatically, via the control app.

Yardroid Irrigation.jpg

Robotic Irrigation

Computer vision and artificial intelligence allow Yardroid to provide automated and flexible irrigation for yards and land. There is no more need for drip lines and inflexible zone set ups.

The water gun is mounted inside the stabilized gimbal that also contains the camera and the LED gun light. Yardroid can spray water straight up and almost straight down.

Yardroid can adjust the water pressure and can hence irrigate virtually every possible target, close or far, high or low.

Water refueling is automatic via the automated companion spigot valve that Yardroid uses to control water flow into its water tank.

Yardroid Refuel.png

Automatic Refueling

Yardroid can open and close the lid to its water tank. Using the automatic companion spigot valve, Yardroid can quickly fill up its water tank. This enables it to autonomously water entire lawns without any need for interference/refueling by an operator.

The companion spigot valve is powered by a battery that is continually recharged by a solar cell, so there is no need for an electrical installation.

Weed and pest killer tanks are refilled manually. The tanks for these liquids are 1 quart / liter each and hence last a significant amount of time.

Yardroid Weed.jpg

Weed Control

Yardroid carries a 1 quart/liter tank for weed killer. It recognizes weed plants using its camera and artificial intelligence. By only targeting these weed plants, Yardroid uses only minimal amounts of weed killer chemicals.

The weed killer nozzle is not on the main gimbal but fixed on the turret. This is a built in hardware safeguard against accidentally spraying weed killer onto people.

Yardroid Insect.png

Pest Control

Computer vision and artificial intelligence enable Yardroid to spot and classify pests from insects and arachnids to birds and mammals.

Yardroid controls larger pests like birds and mammals via its physical presence and movement, its strong LED gun light and if necessary, by chasing them away with its main watergun.

Yardroid controls smaller insect and arachnoid pests via targeted spraying of pest killer which it carries in a 1 quart/liter tank.

Yardroid Leaf Blow.jpg

Leaf Blowing

Yardroid uses computer vision and artificial intelligence to spot debris on pathways, sidewalks, driveways, grass. It can be further set up via the control app.

The blower - built into the turret - blows the debris away to keep these surfaces clean.

Yardroid Home Security.jpg

Security

Yardroid uses its camera and LED gun light to monitor its environment at all times, including looking out for intruders.

If an intruder has been detected, Yardroid sends alerts. It records the intruder and saves the footage on a mobile device, and if set, in the cloud, for secure storage.

Yardroid’s on board speaker can warn intruders that they have been spotted and are being recorded, Often this persuades intruders to walk away.

Yardroid can even take defensive action, using its fully actuated main water gun to spray intruders with water, distracting and delaying them and even chasing them away.

Yardroid protects itself against theft in a similar manner, including sending you its current GPS location. For extra safety against theft Yardroid can be secured via password.
